5th at Pan Am Champs Juniors in Peru

Bahamian judoka Xavion Johnson secured a fifth place finish at the Junior Pan American Judo Championships held in Lima, Peru, this past weekend, just two weeks after capturing a bronze medal at the Junior Pan American Cup in Panama City, Panama.

This consistent performance across major regional competitions continues to strengthen Johnson’s position as a strong contender for the upcoming Pan American Games in August.

Competing in the men’s 66 kilogram (kg.) category, Johnson went 2-for-2 on Saturday, including a decisive win over the same athlete who handed him his only loss in Panama — a clear sign of his growing technical adaptability and mental resilience on the mat.
